La mise en service commerciale du terminal méthanier de Dunkerque a été retardée de quelques semaines. Après avoir reçu une première livraison de gaz naturel liquéfié en juillet, l’installation sera finalement opérationnelle au mois de décembre. Toutefois, le directeur du site précise que ce changement de calendrier n’aura pas d’impact sur le coût du projet.
A la suite d’un problème rencontré par le prestataire espagnol TS LNG, EDF a retardé la mise en service commerciale du nouveau terminal méthanier de Dunkerque (Nord). Pour autant, le directeur de Dunkerque LNG, Marc Girard, indique que « les essais ont pu reprendre début octobre » et envisage donc une mise en service dès le mois de décembre.
Tandis que la deuxième livraison a déjà été reçue le 15 septembre dernier, un troisième méthanier est attendu dans le courant de la seconde quinzaine de novembre. Ce nouvel arrivage devrait notamment permettre de terminer les essais. Il reste « des délais d’instruction, mais nous sommes parfaitement confiants », explique Marc Girard.
Par ailleurs, le responsable de la société en charge du projet souligne que ce contretemps n’engendrera pas de surcoût pour l’installation. En effet, alors que la torche a été réparée, il a affirmé au quotidien Les Echos que le budget fixé à 1,2 milliard d’euros serait respecté. Cette infrastructure, réalisée par EDF (65 %) en partenariat avec Total (10 %) et le groupe belge Fluxys (25 %), dispose d’une capacité de 13 milliards de m3 par an.
