Société commune entre Alstom (Paris) et Bharat Forge son partenaire indien, la société Alsthom-Bharat Forge vient d’annoncer une commande de deux îlots turbines pour une valeur de plus de 250 millions d’euros de la part du groupe National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC).

Les deux îlots turbines, qui comprennent la turbine, l’alternateur et le condenseur, ainsi que des équipements auxiliaires de sécurité, serviront pour deux centrales à charbon supercritiques dans la ville de Solapur (Etat du Maharashtra).

L’appel d’offres de NTPC concernait 11 îlots turbines de 660 MW chacun. Le projet total est le plus grand jamais lancé par le gouvernement indien, pour un total de 7.300 MW et entre dans le cadre de l’augmentation de la demande en énergie qui va de pair avec l’accroissement économique du pays.

Ce contrat est le premier de la société commune Alstom-Bharat Forge et renforce la position d’Alstom sur le marché indien des îlots turbines pour centrales à charbon supercritique.

« Déjà reconnu en Inde comme un acteur majeur dans le domaine de la génération d’énergie, Alstom, qui contribue à l’économie du pays depuis 100 ans, poursuit désormais sa progression sur le marché de l’électricité thermique grâce à la société commune créée avec Bharat Forge. L’usine de Mundra est destinée à la production de turbines, de générateurs, de condensateurs et de réchauffeurs de dernière génération. Elle permettra de contribuer à répondre aux défis énergétiques auxquels est confrontée l’Inde en offrant des solutions compétitives et respectueuses de l’environnement », commente Andreas Lusch, Senior Vice-Président des activités « Steam » d’Alstom.
