Le 12 octobre dernier, l’Etat russe a vendu plus de 50 % du capital de Bachneft, le sixième producteur d’hydrocarbures du pays, au groupe Rosneft, pour 4,7 milliards d’euros. S’il s’agit de la plus grosse cession d’actifs, cette année, de la part de Moscou, le gouvernement prévoit néanmoins un déficit supérieur à l’objectif de 3 % du PIB qu’avait fixé Vladimir Poutine.
En l’espace de seulement 15 ans, Rosneft s’est imposée comme un acteur incontournable du marché des hydrocarbures. Actuellement, elle est la première entreprise productrice de pétrole en Russie devant Gazprom. C’est également la première entreprise publique à l’échelle du globe de par ses réserves et sa production.
En acquérant le sixième producteur d’hydrocarbures du pays pour 4,7 milliards d’euros, Rosneft vient de consolider sa position de leader dans le monde. Qui plus est, le Kremlin réalise une bonne opération financière d’après le président Vladimir Poutine, puisque « Rosneft a simplement proposé le prix le plus élevé ». En effet, l’offre de l’énergéticien dépassait « de 20 % la valeur de cette participation en Bourse au 30 septembre », selon le ministère de l’Economie.
Depuis ce rapprochement, la société dirigée par Igor Setchine assure une production de 5,6 millions de barils par jour de pétrole et gaz et représente plus de 80 milliards d’euros de chiffre d’affaires annuel. En dépit des sanctions américaines qui pèsent sur elle depuis la crise ukrainienne, la compagnie démontre ainsi qu’elle dispose encore de solides perspectives de croissance, alors qu’elle s’apprêterait à vendre 19,5 % du capital d’ici à la fin de l’année.
