Du 2 au 4 novembre prochains, Marrakech organise le 1er Forum annuel international sur les énergies renouvelables en Afrique (AREF, Africa Renewable Energy Forum). A quelques jours du lancement de la COP22, le pays hôte du sommet climatique souhaite mettre en exergue les efforts des pays africains pour un développement durable et un monde sans CO2.
L’AREF a été initié par l’entreprise EnergyNet en partenariat avec Global Nexus et l’Institut de recherche en énergie solaire et énergies nouvelles (IRESEN). Plusieurs thèmes seront à l’ordre du jour de ce grand rassemblement international : l’avenir des énergies renouvelables, la mise en place et le financement des projets durables, ou encore le développement technologique, mais aussi la formation et la recherche.
Ce rassemblement, qui aura lieu juste avant l’ouverture de la 22e conférence de l’ONU sur le climat (COP22), sera l’occasion de faire le point sur les engagements pris lors de la précédente édition à Paris. Les différentes réunions de travail serviront notamment à faire le point sur l’avancée des différents pays au regard de leurs engagements et des contributions nationales prévues par l’Accord de Paris.
Ainsi, le Maroc et le Masen – l’outil au service de la mise en œuvre de la politique énergétique du Royaume chérifien – pourront notamment souligner les progrès réalisés dans l’énergie solaire. Pour mémoire, au début de l’année 2016, la ministre française de l’Environnement, Ségolène Royal, assistait à l’inauguration de l’une des plus imposantes installations dédiées à l’énergie solaire photovoltaïque : la centrale solaire Noor 1.
